It’s Time: Starting a Soulful and Mindful Journey to Find Peace & Happiness in 2022

“Have great hopes and dare to go all out for them. Have great dreams and dare to live them. Have tremendous expectations and believe in them.”
- Norman Vincent Peale

What is it with blog posts these days jumping into a topic without taking time to breathe first? When did everyone go and get themselves in such a hurry? I’d like to buck that trend today and start as I mean to go on. So, here’s to first introductions!

Hi, my name is Corinne, and I’m about to set off on a journey of self-discovery and mindfulness. Though we’ve just met, I’d like to ask you to come with me. So, make yourself at home, settle in, and enjoy the ride! At Seren Society, everyone’s welcome. And don’t worry, it’s a no-judgement zone so feel free to put your feet up! Without further ado, here’s my mission statement and proposition to you:

 My blog, my meaning

Every era has a different flavor. In the roaring 20s, it was economic prosperity and champagne waterfalls. As for the 60s, it was all easy-breezy with undertones of social progression. And us? Plowing ahead into the fast-paced, technology era? Well, we have stress – and lots of it.

Along the way, we lost touch with our inner oasis of intuition, serenity, and self-compassion that would inevitably spill outwards once replenished. As a result, not only do we, but the world at large suffers from our sleepless nights, burnout bouts, and teetering on the edge of tears, wondering what it’s all about lifestyles.

Hope is a thing with feathers …

But it’s not all doom and gloom though 2020 through 2021 would’ve had you think differently. It’s not one disaster after another – the world always evens out eventually. And to see us through to that inevitable rollercoaster is that aforementioned natural oasis flowing within each and every one of us. The power to tap into it or leave it to stagnate is in our hands.

As a massage therapist, esthetician, and reiki practitioner, I’m aware we can turn on and off the taps by adhering to an inside-out approach. You see, we may not be able to shut out the noise – planes won’t stop flying overhead, and the din of distant motorways still rumbles on. The morning alarm has its way of bragging on – I’m here, I’m here – time to get up. But, we can, in some way, appeal to our inner peace. We can, once again, find ourselves amid the trees, birds flying overhead, a gentle sun caressing our skins, and the only noise, dry sticks, and leaves crackling beneath. And all without even stepping on a plane or undertaking a retreat.

 The starting line

In 2022, I’m finding that inner zone, I’m going to that dream destination. It’ll be a journey of mindful matters, soulful insights, and both self and non-self exploration. The end goal is discovery. Self-discovery, the discovery of the world – discovery in general. I want to reach deep within myself, to the corners and avenues we’ve been taught to ignore. I will reopen them, walk them cautiously, and by degrees, rediscover what makes me – me.

Fortunately, there’s room enough for everyone on this road. I’ll be posting regular updates on my daily, weekly, and monthly endeavors, offering you glimpses behind the scenes of my own personal journey while delving out tips, advice, and whatever inspirational golden nuggets I pick up from my research and along the way.

 My offer to you

Journals, crystals, diffusers, and doTerra brand essential oils will form a large part of my plan, revitalizing my energy and reminding me of my goal. I will also be using affirmation cards as gentle reminders to keep my vision on the right track. I’d like to share all of my Journals, crystals, diffusers, and essential oils with you to also fulfill your mindfulness journey! So, feel free to take your pick from my website store. And what journey is complete without a few souvenirs along the way? I also offer a range of t-shirts and jewelry for you to take on the trip!
